We are proud to share that our Managing Partner, Mr. Vincent Pang, was once again invited to serve as the Chairman of the Jury Panel for the Institute of ESG &amp; Benchmark (IESGB)’s ESG Achievement Awards, making his fifth consecutive year in this distinguished role. This year, Mr. Pang also had the honor of serving as a speaker and awards presenter at the Awards Presentation Ceremony. Under the theme "Future-Forward Visionaries: Technology Driving Sustainable Transformation," this year’s ESG Achievement Awards provided a valuable platform for industry experts to exchange insights on how innovative technologies are shaping sustainable business practices. The event also explored the ethical implications of artificial intelligence (AI) and the responsibility of businesses in navigating these emerging challenges. 
 
Co-organized by The Institute of Financial Technologists of Asia (IFTA) and supported by the ESG Data Partner, Hang Seng Indexes Company Limited (HSIL), the Awards ceremony commenced with a welcome speech by Mr. Paul Pong, Co-Founder of IESGB, and Mr. Tse Chin-wan, BBS, JP, Secretary for Environment and Ecology. Mr. Pang also had the privilege of delivering a keynote address, expressing his delight at the submissions showcasing real-world impact and leadership in sustainability.
 
The Awards celebrated the exceptional contributions of 26 winning organizations across 9 award categories, encapsulating the ethos of organizations and professionals who act as catalysts for positive transformation through their sustainable practices. Among the winners were industry leaders such as Henderson Land Development Company Limited, Sino Land Company Limited, Kerry Properties Limited, The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited, Tam Jai International Co. Limited, Chinachem Group.

As Chairman of the Jury Panel and Speaker at the IESGB ESG Achievement Awards 2024/2025

We are deeply saddened by the tragic fire at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po, which claimed the lives of so many residents and the brave firefighter who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Our heartfelt condolences extend to all the victims, their grieving families, and every individual affected by this heartbreaking loss. We also extend our profound respect and gratitude to the firefighters, emergency responders, medical professionals, and volunteers who faced unimaginable dangers with unwavering courage and selflessness—their heroism inspires us all.
In the spirit of compassion and community, AVISTA Group is taking immediate action to support both urgent relief and long-term recovery efforts. We are committed to making a meaningful impact through the following initiatives:
Donation to the HKSAR Government-established Support Fund
A donation of HK$200,000 to the HKSAR Government-established Support Fund for Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po, to provide critical resources including emergency rescue operations, transitional shelter, essential living supplies, and emotional counseling for those impacted.
Group-wide Matching Employee’s Fundraising Campaign
In addition to our donation to the HKSAR Government-established Support Fund, we are launching a Matching Employee’s Fundraising Campaign to amplify our collective impact. We encourage our employees to contribute to frontline relief efforts, with AVISTA Group matching EVERY dollar donated. Through this campaign, we aim to double the employee-led support for those affected by this tragedy.
As Hong Kong unites in mourning, we share in the collective sorrow and reaffirm our commitment to standing shoulder-to-shoulder with our community during this difficult time.
Together, we honor the lives lost, celebrate the bravery displayed, and build toward a brighter tomorrow.

Standing in Solidarity: AVISTA Group's Support for Tai Po's Wang Fuk Court Fire Victims

AVISTA Group was honored to be invited by Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute (HKSI) to serve as the project sponsor of Institute Case Competition 2025. Our Managing Partner, Mr. Vincent Pang, and Director of Risk Management Advisory Services, Ms. Sabrina Lam, took on the role of coaches, guiding and mentoring the talented participants throughout the competition.
This year's competition focused on a sustainability research project, with the theme centered around "Identifying best practices in financial institutions' climate disclosures aligned with TCFD and/or IFRS S2, along with an analysis of their current progress in Scope 3 emissions reporting." Mr. Pang and Ms. Lam have chosen one group of the best performers among five to advance to the semi-final round. All groups demonstrated strong analytical skills and delivered outstanding performances in the initial round.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the participating groups for their hard work and dedication. Congratulations to all the semi-finalists and finalists for their remarkable achievements in the competition. Our Managing Partner, Mr. Vincent Pang, was pleased to be invited as the opening guest for ESG Achievement Awards 2023/2024 Campus Sharing this year. He also had the honor of serving as a moderator of the panel discussion at the campus sharing held on 17 February 2025.
 Co-organized by HKU Business School and organized by Institute of ESG &amp; Benchmark (iESGB), the campus sharing commenced with an opening address by Mr. Pang, expressing his joy regarding the submissions that highlighted the tangible impact and leadership in sustainability. He also conveyed appreciation for how the ESG Achievement Awards contribute to the progress of sustainability and innovation in Hong Kong and beyond.
 Under the theme " Insights into Sustainable Practices and ESG Career Pathways", four awardee such as Henderson Land Development Company Limited, China Overseas Grand Oceans Group LTD., Sun Life Asset Management (HK) Limited and Sino Land Company Limited shated their company’s ESG leadership through holistic reporting, effective operations, and innovative approaches to sustainable development. The leaders also shared how students should competent and aware as they prepare for a career in the ESG field. 
 In today's business landscape, ESG factors are essential for promoting sustainable practices and increasing long-term value creation. AVISTA Group is honored to observe the rapid development of ESG on a global scale and actively engage in it, aiming to witness further advancements in the future.

AVISTA Becomes a Corporate Member of Business Environment Council

Our Managing Partner, Mr. Vincent Pang was honoured to be invited as the Head Juror for the third consecutive year for the Institute of ESG &amp; Benchmark (IESGB)’s ESG Achievement Awards (“Awards”) this year. He had the privilege of acting as a speaker and awards presenter at the Awards Presentation Ceremony, which took place at the JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong on 22 September 2023.
 
Featuring the theme of “ESG Champions: Pioneering Sustainable Development”, the Awards stand as a beacon of recognition for businesses, individuals and non-profit organizations who have integrated ESG best practices at every level of their operations.
 
Co-organized by The Institute of Financial Technologists of Asia (IFTA) and supported by the ESG Data Partner, Hang Seng Indexes Company Limited (HSIL), the Awards ceremony kicked off with an opening speech by Mr. Paul Pong, Co-Founder of IESGB, and Mr. Joseph Chan, JP, Under Secretary for Financial Services &amp; the Treasury of the Hong Kong SAR Government. In his impactful speech, Mr. Chan highlighted Hong Kong's exceptional attributes - its open market, robust infrastructure, regulatory alignment, and highly skilled professionals, all of which position the city to spearhead the region's growth and development in green finance. He emphasized that Hong Kong was poised not only to become Asia's premier green finance hub but also an international financial center.
 
Concurrently, Vincent had the honour of delivering a keynote speech during the Awards ceremony, where he expressed his delight in witnessing the enthusiastic response to this year’s event, a clear testament to the growing adoption of ESG practices in the community. He eagerly anticipates the participation of more diverse industries and organizations in the future, which will undoubtedly contribute to the continued success of ESG development in Hong Kong.
 
The Awards celebrated the outstanding contributions of 59 winning organizations in promoting sustainable development, fulfilling social responsibilities and delivering excellent corporate governance across 9 award categories. As the Head Juror of IESGB ESG Achievement Awards 2022-2023 and Speaker of the Awards Presentation Ceremony

We are pleased to announce that AVISTA Hong Kong has successfully hosted an additional session of its ESG seminar, titled "Perspectives from Issuers: Staying Ahead of HKEX’s Proposed Climate-related Disclosure Requirements" in response to overwhelming demand. During this seminar, our Managing Partner, Mr. Vincent Pang, alongside our Principal and Manager of Risk Advisory Services, Ms. Sabrina Lam and Ms. Queenie Wong, delivered invaluable insights into HKEX’s proposed amendments based on the IFRS S2 Climate-related Standard and their implications for listed companies.
The seminar provided a comprehensive overview of the key proposal in the climate-related disclosure proposal and explored the strategies for navigating the evolving landscape of climate-related disclosures under its ESG Framework. The speaker also shared how a listed company addressing the key challenges that they may face in implementing the climate-related disclosure requirements. Following the presentations, participants engaged in an interactive Q&amp;A session to address their concerns regarding the proposed amendments.
