As the Head Juror of IESGB ESG Achievement Awards 2021-2022 and Speaker of the Awards Presentation Ceremony

Our Managing Partner, Mr. Vincent Pang was honored to be invited as the Head Juror once again of the Institute of ESG & Benchmark (IESGB)’s ESG Achievement Awards this year.

 

Featuring the theme of “Pursuit of the ESG E.R.A - Evolution, Resilience, Action”, the aspiration of this year is to build on the momentum of the Awards and the development of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) across local and global corporations in Hong Kong.

 

Supported by Hang Seng Indexes Company Limited (HSIL), and ESG Data Provider cum Supporting Organization, Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency (HKQAA), the jury panel was able to fairly and thoroughly evaluate each application. For this year, awards were opened for both listed and privately-owned companies. Total 31 winning companies were officially announced under 5 award categories, ranging from ESG Benchmark Awards, Special ESG Awards, ESG Product and Service Awards, Outstanding ESG Company and Honorary Awards.

 

Vincent was also invited to present at the Awards Presentation Ceremony at the JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong on 30 Aug 2022. Before the ceremony started, Vincent was pleased to be interviewed with HKET together with Mr. Paul Pong, Co-Founder of IESGB and Ms. Taie Wang, Chief Business Development Officer of Hang Seng Indexes Company.

 

The ceremony started off with an opening speech by Mr. Paul Pong and Mr. Joseph Chan, JP, Under Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury. Vincent expressed his great pleasure to witness notable improvement in the pursuit of ESG development and express his appreciation towards board members and fellow jurors in his speech followed by the awards presentation.

 

ESG considerations are now the mainstream amongst Hong Kong investors and other stakeholders. AVISTA Group is honored to share our best practice in ESG achievement, we look forward to seeing ESG practices prosper further, and hope that the Award will continue to set the stage for a forward-thinking and harmonious ESG community.
