Our Managing Partner, Mr. Vincent Pang, was pleased to be invited as a guest speaker by the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) for its webinar titled “The Requirement and Technical Issues of Valuation in IPO”. This webinar was part of the HKICPA's Entities Listing on HKEX Series which aims to provide finance practitioners with the latest practical guidance on key aspects involved in the listing, mergers and acquisitions of companies listed or seeking to list on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX), the financial restructuring of listed companies, as well as effective ways to detect and address fraud and financial accounting scandals.

 

              

Vincent shared his knowledge and experiences surrounding the valuation requirements and technical considerations for initial public offerings (IPOs) on the HKEX with fellow professionals and discussed the preliminary factors to consider, key rules and regulations to comply with, the applicable valuation reporting standards, as well as the various valuation approaches and techniques employed specifically in the context of an IPO.
