AVISTA’s ESG Seminar Series - "Navigating Opportunities: Decoding HKEX’s Proposed Climate-related Disclosures and ESG Ratings" has been successfully launched in Shanghai

We are pleased to announce that AVISTA Shanghai has successfully launched an ESG seminar titled "Navigating Opportunities: Decoding HKEX’s Proposed Climate-related Disclosures and ESG Ratings." The seminar provided valuable insights into leveraging the latest regulatory requirement trends and ESG ratings to unlock investment potential and create sustainable long-term value. Our Managing Partner, Mr. Vincent Pang, and our Principal of Sustainability and Climate Change Services, Ms. Sabrina Lam, shared their expertise during the seminar.

On 14 April 2023, HKEX published a consultation paper seeking market feedback on proposals to enhance climate-related disclosures under the ESG framework. Against this backdrop, the seminar dived into the current ESG ecosystem and the strategic intersection between regulatory requirements, ESG ratings and attracting institutional investors. By exploring strategies to not only meet but exceed disclosure requirements and achieve excellent ESG ratings, the seminar empowered companies to tap into investment opportunities for sustainable growth and value creation.

An interactive Q&A session was held after the presentation, enabling participants to address their concerns regarding the proposed amendments and ESG ratings, with the discussion extending to the future megatrend of ESG development in China. As part of AVISTA's commitment to climate action, we provided a “Certificate of Voluntary Carbon Offset” to attending guests, allowing them to offset carbon emissions and contribute to the fight against climate change.
